African Blockchain Festival | Website UI Design

Sammy Fash for ABF 2025

I worked with the team behind the African Blockchain Festival, a flagship pan-African blockchain conference, to design and develop a fully responsive, multi-page WordPress website that communicated the festival’s mission, showcased its speakers, and drove registrations ahead of the November 7–9 event in Kigali.

📌 Project Overview: African Blockchain Festival
Client: Africa Blockchain Festival Organization
Role: Product Designer & WordPress Developer
Timeline: April – November 2025
Platform: Responsive Web (Full Website)
Tools Used: Figma, WordPress, Elementor, Notion

🎯 Goals & Objectives

  • Design and build a professional, multi-page website that clearly communicates the festival’s purpose, impact, and activities.

  • Enable seamless access to all event details including agenda, speakers, venue, sponsors, and tickets.

  • Strengthen the brand identity of the festival as a credible, continent-wide blockchain gathering.

  • Ensure the website scales effectively from early information release (April) to the event week in November.

🧩 My Contributions

  • Information Architecture & Page Structure:
Planned a clear, intuitive navigation system and multi-page layout covering all festival needs: Home, About, Speakers, Agenda, Partners/Sponsors, Venue, Tickets, Contact.

  • UX Writing & Content Arrangement:
Worked with the organizing team to structure content that educates visitors about the festival’s mission and highlights Africa’s growing blockchain ecosystem.

  • Visual Design:
Created an energetic, modern visual identity inspired by Africa’s tech-forward culture—balancing bold colours, clarity, and professionalism.

  • WordPress Development:
Implemented the full site in WordPress using Elementor, developing custom sections and reusable blocks to streamline updates throughout the event timeline.

  • Event-Focused Functionality:
Integrated ticket links, speaker profiles, schedule modules, and sponsor showcases, ensuring the site supported both marketing and attendee information needs.

  • Mobile Optimization:
Ensured every page performed flawlessly across devices—essential for on-the-go users and conference attendees viewing schedules on mobile.
